Tired of Googling "how to make matcha" and ending up with 12 - step ritual and tools you've never heard of?

Let's make it simple - no samurai skills required.

Wheather you're new to matcha or just want a fuss-free daily ritual, here's how to make creamy, smooth, energising matcha at home - in less than 2 minutes.

What You'll Need

  • 2-4g of high quality matcha - like Matcha No.1
  • Hot water (not boiling - 80C is perfect)
  • A small bowl or mug
  • A matcha whisk or electric frother (or even an empty jar with lid)

Step-by-Step: The Quick & Creamy Matcha Method

  1. Sift the matcha: Sift 2-4g (1/2-1 tsp) of matcha into a bowl. Sifting gets rid of lumps and gives you that silky texture.
  2. Add a Splash of Hot Water: Pour in about 30 ml and stir into a paste. This helps prevent clumping later.
  3. Whisk Until Frothy: Add 60ml more hot water and whisk in a zig-zag motion (30 sec fast - 20 sec medium - 20 sec slow) , or use electric whisk (froth around 30 sec until frothy). Don't have either of these? Take a small maison jar, sift your matcha add hot water, close the lid and shake well. You'll see tiny bubbles forming - that's your matcha coming alive.
  4. Enjoy It Pure, or Make It a Latte
  • Pure matcha = clean, earthy, uplifting, just add more hot water.
  • Matcha latte = add warm oat, almond, or dairy milk
  • Iced? Just pour over cold milk & ice!
  • Add your favourite sweetener if desired: agave syrup, maple syrup, vanilla syrup.
